A chemical engineer by schooling, Desmond has more than 10 years experience cutting gemstones. His passion for gemstones begun at a very young age and has turned into a life-long obsession. An Australian by birth his experience began in sapphire mining, was deepened by 6 years in Africa and he now resides back in his native Australia. Each individual piece of rough is hand selected prior to cutting and cut and polished to exacting standards ensuring maximum colour and brilliance.
